Finding healthy snack and lunch options can the "make or break" of you staying on track. I can vividly remember a day that I felt uninspired by my lunch that day and somehow convinced myself that I deserved the 7 pound burrito from my favorite Mexican food restaurant. Or course I ate it, and felt like shit (FOOD COMA). I realized that if I don't plan out my (delicious and easy) lunches and snacks, my decisions are left to my hungry brain and the results are never good.

I realized that if I don't plan out my (delicious and easy) lunches and snacks, my decisions are left to my hungry brain and the results are never good.
Print this out and keep it on your fridge for quick access. I also make sure to create a snack and lunch section in my meal plans so I'm sure to pick some of these items up at the store or farmer's market. Happy chowing!!
- Snack packs- sliced carrots, bell peps, radish, cucumber and jicama
- Wraps- turn any sandwich into a wrap with lettuce
- Big fat salads with leftover meat
- Deli meat stuffed bell peppers (the bell is the "bread!")
- Apple and turkey or ham sandwiches- the apples are the bread, great with mustard Apple slices and almond/cashew butter
- Cucumber sandwiches with tuna- the cucumber is the bread
- Carrots and almond/cashew butter- great for dipping Sardines and bell pepper slices- I like the sardines in marinara
- Marinated tomato slices (balsamic and EVOO) and basil
- Hardboiled eggs with spice packets- use foil and wrap up salt and pepper
- Leftovers of any kind- try to cook once eat twice
- Can of tuna with pickles and mustard- add Paleo mayo if you like
- Meatballs with tomato sauce- great cold too
- Hamburger patties with kraut Grass fed hot dog and raw kraut with mustard
- Beef jerky
- Marinated cucumber slices (lime, salt and cayenne) and salsa and or guacamole
- Trail mix Dark chocolate
- Lara bars (in moderation)
- Ham, green onion and avo roll ups- the ham is the “tortilla”
- Ham or Procuitto wrapped around melon
- Avocado, spoon, hot sauce
- Gourmet olive mix
- Fruit and nuts in coconut milk (pretend cereal!)
- Banana sandwiches with almond butter
- Pork Rinds with hot sauce
- Celery with almond butter
- Seaweed sheets (plain or as a wrap)
- Coconut chunks Smoked salmon, onion and capers (lox), and lemon
- High quality salami, sliced pepperoncini’s
- Dried or dehydrated fruit (apricots and apples are amazing!)
- Mashed sweet potato, raw veggies and some bacon
- Leftover meat and mustard or horseradish for dipping
- Bacon and guacamole sandwiches- the bacon is the “bread!”
- Frozen grapes Fruit bowl (melon, pineapple, apples etc) with coconut milk
- Smoothie- add some spinach or kale!
- Cold veggies and leftover meat- pour hot bone broth before eating
- Chili or stew in a Thermos
